Mechanical & product design.
Humanoid robotics.
Hi, I’m Juan-Mario! I’m a mechanical engineering student at Northeastern interested in robotics and mechanical design.
B.S. Mechanical Engineering candidate

I’ve gotten the chance to work on everything from dexterous robotic hands to hydrofoil boats. I really enjoy designing things, building them, testing them, and figuring out what needs to change when they don’t work the first time.
I liked LEGO and Iron Man as a kid, but what really drew me to mechanical engineering was wanting to explore where biomimicry and mechanical design intersect. Watching Boston Dynamics’ Cheetah robot was an early spark for that curiosity. Through my studies and boat projects, I’ve also become interested in fluids and understanding how they work, while continuing to explore robotics.
I want to keep working in mechanical and product design, with a particular interest in humanoid robotics. I’m looking for opportunities to design mechanisms, build prototypes and test how they perform.
I’m from Cambridge, Massachusetts, speak English and Spanish, and enjoy boating and watching soccer.
